About the role:
In this role you will be part of the team responsible for the design, development, testing and support of application software and systems that provide timely, accurate, and meaningful enterprise data to internal customers so they can effectively analyse business patterns and trends and make informed decisions. This includes:
Lead, manage, administer and mentor other technical staff
Responsible for projects of moderate size & complexity
Assist Business Analysts (BA's) and other specialists in BNZ with clarification of jobs, roles, requirements, scope & testing.
Manage and support software applications. These are typically either related to the ETL (Extract Transform Load) process or extracts, dashboards/portals or reports.
Follow 'best practice' software design, development and change management disciplines to ensure robustness, scalability, security and fitness for purpose for applications (E.g. Follow development standards where applicable) Participate in design/peer/code reviews as required.
Deliver high quality technical documentation.
About you:
Alongside your excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills you will also bring:
4+years expertise in Data Warehouse tools
Experience in one or more products E.g. Oracle BI Suite, MS BI Suite , Mainframe/PC SAS; COBOL, JCL, DB2, SAP ,
Actively participates in team brainstorming and problem-solving efforts.
Proven ability to work within an 'Agile' development framework.
Encourages and expects others to think 'outside the box'.
Effectively works to eliminate root causes using problem-solving methods.
