Allied Health Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Wellington Wellington Homecare Care Service Casual Position A casual position is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist within the Wellington Homecare service Nurse Maudes Homecare service works alongside the DHB and ACC providing home based support service to clients living in their own homes Care and support is centred on a restorative model of care implementing the Calderdale Framework where clients have capacity for improved independence Key areas for the role include functional assessment goal setting cognitive assessment assessment and use of equipment and implementation of the Calderdale Framework This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team committed to supporting people to maintain their independence and achieve the best possible quality of life and functional ability As one of the Case Management team you will be using your skills to assess clients functional requirements to facilitate engagement in daily activities and to develop restorative and Calderdale support plans and programmes You will also be involved in providing education and training to other health care professionals and support workers Applicants must be a New Zealand Registered Physio or OT hold a current Annual Practising Certificate with at least 2 years experience and have an appreciation of the complex nature of working with older people Supervision and ongoing support are provided An understanding of and commitment to the restorative approach to client support and care is essential as well as the key elements of wellbeing tinana whanau hinengaro and wairua To find out more about this position please contact Claire Willemsen Service Manager Claire Willemsen nursemaude org nz 04 918 1009 For a copy of the position description or to apply please go to careers nursemaude org nz Closing date 2 March 2020 Claire WillemsenClaire Willemsen nursemaude org nz
