Allied Health Assistant - Allied Health Unit
Southland Hospital
Fixed-term, full-time (1.0 FTE) 40 hours per week
We have a wonderful opportunity for an outgoing, organised and caring individual to be based in the Therapies Department on a fixed term basis ending 28, February 2022.
You will be working as part of a specific team, e.g. physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, social work, and will also have the opportunity to work in other discipline teams as well.
In this role you'll work with our inpatient and outpatient teams to deliver rehabilitation programmes designed to assist patients to become independent in their own environments, as well as contributing to information gathering to support the treatment plans developed by the therapists. You'll be enthusiastic and committed, with the ability to follow instructions while using your initiative and common sense.
You should also consider yourself physically fit and able as there is a physical element to the role. You must have a full driver's licence. Applicants should be able to demonstrate confidence with computer skills.
Previous experience working with people, and in an environment promoting independence would be a distinct advantage. For the right person this is truly a rewarding opportunity.
