Piritahi (coming together as one), is an Alliance formed to prepare the land for development and to deliver new and upgraded infrastructure and amenities on behalf of K?inga Ora, New Zealand?s largest urban developer. K?inga Ora has been tasked with increasing the supply of social, affordable and market housing in Auckland and has established an alliance to redevelop existing state housing areas across Auckland. We are looking for a highly capable executive to work with the Owner Partner (K?inga Ora) and the Piritahi Alliance Board to deliver build-ready land at pace and scale. Alliance Partners consist of two contractors (Dempsey Wood and Hick Brothers) and three designers (Tonkin & Taylor, Harrison Grierson and Woods Civil).
The Alliance General Manager (AGM) will be accountable to the well respected Piritahi Alliance Board for the successful delivery of the works programme. The AGM will be required to bring sound commercial acumen to strategy development and execution, ensuring the Alliance achieves key objectives including financial targets and milestones. Authenticity, outstanding communication skills and integrity will be pivotal in developing a high performing culture across several hundred project staff.
Skills, knowledge and experience sought for this key role include:
Proven track record in delivering multiple large-scale construction projects on time and on budget.
A career built around civil, infrastructure, design & construct to senior leadership team level.
Demonstrated experience in alliance management preferred.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with a broad range of stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A social conscience and a highly ethical approach to doing business.
A collaborative approach to leadership.
A high level of financial, commercial and strategic acumen and sound judgement.
