We have an opportunity for an Airport Manager to oversee all operations for our New Plymouth Airport location. About the role: As Airport Manager you will be responsible for the successful management of our location in New Plymouth, ensuring it functions effectively and efficiently. This position is tasked with achieving growth and profit development, effective fleet utilisation, exceeding customer expectations, and developing brand awareness and market share through the successful leadership of the team. The Airport Manager exercises independent judgement, making the majority of daily decisions regarding the operation and gaining support/approval from a higher level when required. All duties will be completed in accordance with established operational procedures and company policies. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Drive the delivery of yearly objectives in accordance with plan, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, utilisation, productivity, while controlling costs to maximise profit for the business. Develop new and existing business opportunities in local markets. Develop commercial business to grow the truck side of our business. Manage all activities and personnel as required to meet customer expectations, ensuring accurate car inventory and availability, logistics of vehicles to and from locations, and the cleaning on return to established quality standards. Manage and comply with all auditable company standards and required reporting. Ensures proper actions and reports are completed for damaged or missing vehicles. Plan staffing schedules based on business demands and transaction levels to productivity targets. Recruit, supervise, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate the performance of all staff, providing regular, constructive feedback to develop employees to their full potential, while adhering to HR policies in a consistent and fair manner. Provide a safe and healthy work environment by following Company policies, including OH&S, and the Code of Conduct. To be successful in this role: Relevant tertiary qualification (experience in lieu of qualification will be considered) Previous leadership experience in coaching and developing team members, providing constructive feedback, and effectively managing performance issues, will be highly advantageous. Business acumen and the ability to read and understand relevant financial reports. Clear and concise communication skills. Ability to exercise judgement, patience, problem solve and show initiative. Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation. Plans effectively and prioritises tasks in a fast pace, ever changing environment. Ability to multitask and delegate tasks effectively within the team. Competency within Microsoft office suite and able to learn new systems and software as required by the business.
