The Role
This role is pivotal in delivering, coordinating, and monitoring Corporate Security Projects to deliver security solutions and uplift on time and within budget, which is required for our Risk priorities and aligns to our purpose of making your world a safer place.
What you'll be doing:
Monitoring and controlling the project delivery activities to keep on track of the project plan and/or delivery of commitments that have been made. This role frequently delivers via a hybrid methodology, combining both traditional and agile methodologies for delivery, so a knowledge of both delivery methodologies is required
Delivering to agreed timeframes as directed by the Senior Project Manager. Providing support to the Senior PM by raising risks, issues and constraints early, and identifying dependencies, assumptions that may impact delivery
Running Scrum Ceremonies to ensure they occur effectively, eg Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retros & Showcases. Taking ownership of obstacles and blockers, protecting sprint commitments and goals, use of continuous improvement techniques to remove bottlenecks in the delivery process
Tracking & reporting of Sprints goals and achievements, Epic and Milestone via JIRA Dashboards
Develop and manage project financials via traditional methods for governance and reporting back to the Senior Project Manager, to enable a portfolio view which gets tracked at executive level
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of project management and delivery utilising both traditional and agile methods. This role would suit someone who is currently a Delivery Manager or Project Manager, with a desire to develop into a Senior Project Manager role
Good understanding of Agile methods including knowledge of SAFe, and SCRUM and applying agile ceremonies in an IT infrastructure environment utilising the appropriate tools such as JIRA
Proven experience in identifying, owning and managing risks and issues including mitigation and remediation throughout the life of the project
Problem solving and project management experience working with multi disciplinary teams and in a matrix management structure
Experience in cyber security, technology, or risk projects. Experience of delivery and implementation in the identity management and privileged access management projects beneficial
Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management
Excellent experience with project financial management
Industry relevant experience in Cyber Security and Infrastructure within insurance/financial services
