Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Advisor Regulatory Capability (Fixed-term)Date: 1 Feb 2025Location: Wellington, NZ, 6011Discover a career with purpose at MBIEYour work will contribute to the responsible development and regulation of New Zealand's Renewable Energy and Resource sectors.Be part of projects to implement policy and operational changes, lift capability and improve engagement with participants in the resources regulatory system.Fixed-term opportunity until August 2025, Wellington based location.Salary range: $75,114 - $88,266 (pro-rated) plus kiwisaver.The Advisor Regulatory Capability position in the Resource Markets branch supports our Senior Advisors Regulatory Capability to strengthen and develop understanding and capability in the resources and renewable energy regulatory systems by supporting the branch to design and implement new regulatory initiatives and implementation material to enable increased capability, participation and compliance.Working across the branch and wider MBIE teams, the Advisor Regulatory Capability will work with a range of subject matter experts to develop products and collateral to support a diverse range of stakeholders to understand their obligations and to build awareness of the regulatory systems.Nga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience RequiredA general understanding of the role of regulatory capability as part of regulatory compliance.Some experience in helping to design and co-ordinate the delivery of public information and guidance initiatives, products and interventions.Some experience in tailoring messages for different audiences, particularly in translating complex legislation and technical guidance into plain English.Ability to develop guidance and implementation material that is fit for purpose and easily understood, to successfully implement new policy and substantial policy change.Ability to effectively manage time and manage multiple priorities to ensure high quality results within deadline.Understanding of Parliamentary and government structures and processes.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including writing, editing and proofreading.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team where functions must work together to achieve group/branch and team priorities.Ability to work confidently without having the total picture and handling uncertainty.Delivery-focused, able to make things happen and achieve ambitious outcomes.Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.Applications close on Sunday, 9 February 2025.
