Story Bridge Adventure Climb (SBAC) is one of Brisbane's iconic urban adventure experiences. Based at Kangaroo Point peninsula, your office will be spectacular 360 views of Brisbane City as you take our guests on an unforgettable journey of storytelling and adventure as they climb to the peak.
As the Adventure Experience Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team of leading adventure tourism and leisure businesses, including the newly opened Howard Smith Wharves, Riverlife at Kangaroo Point and Tangatours at Tangalooma on Moreton Island.
You will be an enthusiastic, highly skilled and energetic driver of the business, with an out-going and creative outlook. These qualities, along with your experience will enable you to oversee the daily operations and activities, while delivering exceptional customer service.
SBAC operates a multitude of bridge climbs every day ranging from dawn, through the day and into the night, along with specialised adventure rides and activities such as our world exclusive Climb & Abseil. In addition, SBAC operations develop and facilitate team building activities for schools, corporations and large global incentive groups, along with special events for charities and not for profit organisations.

This role is a vital part of the SBAC operations, and includes the following responsibilities:
Managing all staffing requirements for a team of 15+ high energy Climb Leaders including recruitment, rostering, training, coaching, staff development, reviews and performance management.
Delivering a successful climb & activities program which is innovative and profitable.
Enhancing our guests' experience measured by high customer satisfaction while constantly reinventing the guest service experience & best working culture.
Reviewing, implementing and driving Standard Operating Procedures and WPHS policies.
Ensuring accurate booking processes and end of month reporting (including stock control for food and beverage).
Maintaining safety equipment and perfect field records.

Under the guidance and support of the General Manager the requirements for this full-time position include:
Proven track record of Retail management with entrepreneurial sales experience within the Hospitality/Tourism industry strongly favoured.
A genuine drive and passion for Brisbane and Adventure Tourism in Queensland and of course, the Story Bridge!
Proven outstanding customer service along with strong people centred leadership, which brings out the best in each team member.
A track record in operations management.
A sound knowledge of Sales, Marketing and Social Media with a flair for creativity.
Current drivers licence, Blue card, CPR & First Aid certificates.
Highly organised with a proactive and systematic drive, outstanding attention to detail and well presented.
Theme Park Adventure ride management experience viewed favourably.
A polished personality with a sense of humour and adventure; someone who ensures both customers and staff have fun on every climb, every time.
Intermediate computer skills in the Microsoft suite.

The role is available to candidates with permanent residency status. While there is some flexibility in working hours, weekend work is essential. SBAC offers a competitive remuneration package and access to discounted adventure activities with partnering tourism organisations.
