About the service:
Business Support is made up of a variety of services, including Attendants (Orderlies), Biomedical Engineering (Medical Equipment), Nutrition and Food (patient meals, Meals on Wheels, Retail), Hospitality Support Services (Bryant Education Centre, Volunteers, Chaplains and Enquiries), Security and Parking, and Design & Printing.
About the role:
We are seeking an effective administrator to join our high-functioning and supportive administration team. This role will report to the Team Leader - Administration and be part of the centralised admin team for Business Support at Waikato District Health Board.
No two days alike: VARIETY
Together with other administrative staff in the team, you will foster a 'One Administration' approach to ensure excellence is achieved in the delivery of support services. This is an interesting and varied role and you will be working with a multidisciplinary team with some visitor and patient interaction. These roles will be located at Waikato Hospital, amongst the various services, and be assigned specific portfolios of responsibility, but also provide cover as required.
This role will provide clerical, administration and general support to the directorate, with a particular focus on meetings, minute-taking, diary management, and various other administration tasks that arise.

2 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar position.
Evident minute-taking experience.
Competent and confident knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office.
A high level of confidentiality when managing sensitive information.
Strong communication and written capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Quick and eager learner.
Not afraid to ask for help.
Honest, committed, organised and adaptable.
