Our team works tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of care and support for affected individuals across New Zealand.Mo te tunga - About the roleAs the Administrative Team Lead for the Female Pelvic Mesh Service, you will play a crucial role in managing, coordinating, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the service in collaboration with your counterpart in the other hub. Reporting directly to the Operations/Service Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining service reporting, production planning, stock and invoice management, complaints and compliments coordination, policy management, and more. A crucial aspect of this role involves demonstrating a lived experience or deep understanding of the impact of female pelvic mesh complications.Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance to the administrative team under the direction of the Operations/Service ManagerOffer practical assistance and technical knowledge to support administrative systems in both hubsEnsure adherence to Patient Services Guidelines and Process Management for Scheduled CareManage and support a diverse team, adapting to the dynamic needs of the national ServiceCoordinate and deliver administrative support efficiently, particularly for large service volumesMaintain strict confidentiality of sensitive clinical and administrative informationCommunicate with empathy and compassion, understanding the consumer journeyLead the team effectively, managing complex workplace issues independentlyDemonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and respect for medical systems and processesCollaborate harmoniously within the team and contribute positively to the work environmentExhibit strong organisational and time management skillsProficiency with Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookUnderstand the background and implications of surgical mesh harm in New ZealandFamiliarity with Ministry of Health elective services requirementsMinimum three years of recent and relevant administrative experience in a district or private hospitalNCEA Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or international equivalentThree to five years of recent and relevant experience in the health sector, with advanced knowledge of public hospital patient administration systems and processesProven ability to lead a team effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex issuesDemonstrated understanding of medical terminology and respect for medical processesExcellent communication skills with a compassionate approachAbility to work collaboratively and independently in a truthful and helpful manner'Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi - Putting people at the heart of all we do'We are committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring our partnership with Maori are at the forefront of all our conversations.
