1.0 FTE (40 hours a week)

An opportunity has arisen for Schedulers to join the high performing administration team within the Women, Child and Family Service at Whakatane Hospital.
The department is very busy and exciting with fast patient throughput and a dedicated team of clinical staff offering ambulatory specialist services. This role is central to effective booking of patients to outpatient clinics and theatre with the aim of getting patients diagnosis and treatment within expected timeframes. We are also looking for an exceptional customer service champion to support a wide range of professional staff across our team.
You will be a proven team player with a 'can do' attitude, a willingness to work innovatively and find solutions, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and clinical staff. You will need to have well developed computer skills (a working knowledge of WebPAS patient management systems is desirable) and practice excellent time management.
You will have compassion for the people involved in our workplace and community, be a self-starter, and have a positive can-do attitude. Your friendly disposition, responsiveness and personal commitment to professional excellence will ensure you can deliver the great service that is important to success in this role.
The successful applicant needs to be prepared to work flexible hours to meet department requirements and be willing to adapt to change as the service grows.
