This could be just the opportunity you are looking for!We are looking for a permanent, full-time Administration Support Officer to join our team at the Persons of Extreme Risk Directorate based at Auckland Prison, Paremoremo.Mo te tunga | About the roleYou will be an integral part of our team providing a range of high-quality administrative services to internal and external customers, delivering a wide range of administrative services from email and telephone support, checking of incoming and outgoing prisoner mail, attending and taking meeting minutes for Persons of Extreme Risk Directorate (PERD) and Prisoners of Extreme Risk Unit (PERU), information management and filing, data entry, and general administration office support.
Other administrative tasks include:Manage and order stationery and unit resourcesManaging phone and visitor applicationsPrivacy request logsDocument file managementManagement of various email inboxesSupporting units with ad hoc requests as requiredYou will enjoy working collaboratively as one team in a challenging and fast-paced environment, be able to multitask, remain adaptable, follow and adhere to policies and procedures, and have sound judgement in prioritising tasks and activities to meet deadlines.Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:Knowledge of administrative systems, processes and technology combined with experience in providing administrative support to a teamProficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookA personable yet professional communication style – both verbal and writtenThe ability to multitask, organise effectively and display common senseAble to work autonomously and in a team environment, with the ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships within a diverse environment of different cultures, religion and gender identitiesYou will possess very high levels of integrity and be able to work in an environment where maintaining privacy is paramountHave an understanding of tikanga Maori and can adapt to working in this space to align with the Departments Hokai Rangi StrategyIf you're a go-getter, enjoy working collaboratively as one team in a challenging and fast-paced environment, and believe you have these skills to hit the ground running, we would love to hear from you!Please note you will also need a full New Zealand driver licence for this role.The salary range for this role is $62,217 - $65,934 per annum.
