0.5 FTE (40 hours per fortnight)
The 'Acute Floor' at Tauranga Hospital comprises of Tauranga Emergency Department and the Admission Planning Unit. This is a dynamic frontline environment which sees an attendance of 47,000 patients per annum. The successful applicants will be responsible for the provision of high quality, accurate administration and customer service support to patients, families, health professionals and all other external and internal customers. The Emergency Department and APU administrators are an integral part of our clinical team supporting the service to achieve best practice acute care standards, quality care and performance outcomes. To be successful in this job the applicant will need to have:
NCEA Level 2 qualification
A customer service philosophy and a quality focus
Administration skills and experience including computer literacy
Highly effective communicator and complex problem solver
Be organised, detailed and work well under pressure
Be proactive, energetic and adaptable
Be able to work a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends, public holidays and nights
