Purpose of the role We are on the hunt for an Accounts Receivable and Billing Assistant to support the business operations within our South Island Hub Finance team. This role will be primarily responsible for Accounts Receivable including cash receipting, collection of overdue debts, direct phone contact with managers and customers, handling customer queries, reconciling debtor accounts, customer purchase order maintenance, and customer credits. In addition, you will support our EDP function including customer set ups, generating dockets (daily processing), processing customer orders, customer related data entry, commissions, maintain data excellence and other tasks as required. Your great attitude, desire to learn, ability to handle change and wide-ranging skills will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the wider finance team and business. The ideal candidate will have an orientation for customer service, strong spoken and written communication skills, a confident phone manner, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy. The successful applicant will: Possess a Tertiary qualification, preferably in a business-related field of study Have a minimum of 2 years office experience Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated by your confident phone manner Maintain excellent relationship management skills, Be tech savvy, experience with ABEL or other large accounting software preferrable Show a strong customer focus, a high level of accuracy, and a keen eye for detail Be proactive, solutions-focused and eager to learn Have current legal working rights to work full time in New Zealand Building your career with Alsco Uniforms will allow you to broaden your skillset and further develop your capabilities.
