With an established industry presence and destined for continued growth, this company have operations across the country and have plans to develop even more in the coming years.
More About The Role
Based in their North Shore hub, this role supports a friendly, switched-on and hard-working team of about 8 and is crucial to the ongoing development of the company. You will be working closely with this capable team supporting aspects of transactional accounting but with a strong focus on Accounts Payable as they expand and have more and more invoices to pay! They're also in the midst of installing a document scanning system which will significantly reduce any data entry elements in the role.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Processing supplier invoices
Ensure GST is allocated correctly
Set up accurate and timely payment batches for approval
Invoicing any on-charges
Bank reconciliations
Effective communication with area managers and admin staff
Other ad-hoc support to finance team

So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running with Accounts Payable processes. There will be training and support from the team but as this is a high volume business, we are requiring some experience in AP already.
An excellent phone manner and great communication skills are non-negotiable in order to liaise with other stakeholders within the business. Your Excel skills will be well-developed and ideally, you have exposure to accounting software such as MYOB. You are willing to learn, develop and grow with the business and be adaptable to your role changing as the business expands its operations and brings more work into this hub.
If attaining your CA is a top priority, this will not be the role for you but if you're a keen learner this support could be negotiated once you have proven yourself for a solid couple of years with the business. You may even come from an administration background and want to develop into a more accounting focused role with a down-to-earth team that values work-life balance.
