An opportunity has arisen to join the finance team of a client of mine to assist during their busy year-end period. Covering for somebody on leave for approximately two months, you will be an integral support to the team during one of their busiest times of year.
We're looking for somebody flexible and willing to help out where needed. The main focus of the role will be cash management and bank payments and key tasks will include:
Performing daily bank processing operating the electronic banking function, including all payments
Reconciliation of daily bank transactions in the general ledger
Determining the daily cash requirements / surpluses required
Daily reporting to the financial controller and chief financial officer
Maintaining investment spreadsheets
Documenting the cash management and banking processes
Assisting the accountant with maintaining fixed asset registers
Whilst two weeks' training will be provided, existing experience in the above tasks is essential, as is experience working in a large organisation.
Ideally you will have used Oracle and ANZ Online Banking previously and you will have outstanding Microsoft Excel skills.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, during normal business hours. The close down period over Christmas/New Year is 24 December - 2 January. To be considered for this role you must be able to work up until the 23 December and return on the 3 January.
There may also be an oppportunity to move into another temporary position within this organisation for an additional 1.5 months once this assignment ends.
