In this exciting new role you will support the Commercial Director with accounting related tasks, including month end reconciliations as required, updating of internal controls and reporting. You will be responsible for the administration and loading of invoices to the accounting system and supporting Maggie Marilyn’s external finance partners with data collection and payroll.

Accounts Payable
Maintain Payable Ledger
Retrieving invoices and statements & distribution
Data entry of invoices and related documents
General ledger coding of all invoices for GST and cost analysis in Xero
Matching of invoices and statements where available
Filing
Investigating discrepancies. Contacting suppliers where credits and documents are required.
Batch Control Reports for authorisation
Create ASB Fastnet schedules for payment
Payroll
Liaison with Payroll Agency as required
Bank
Maintain Bank Reconciliation
Daily bank transaction analysis
Payment of all authorised invoices including Foreign Currency suppliers
Coding for GST return purposes
Bank transfers as requested
Prepare and process ASB Trade Finance draw-down requests
Accounts Receivable
Maintain Receivable Ledger
Credit payments
Enter Credit Notes
Chartered Accountant Assistance
Provide Maggie Marilyn’s finance partners with all information requested for monthly and routine reporting purposes
Assist with input of Budget information to correct budget fields
Any other assistance reasonably requested
Other Tasks
Providing Commercial Manager with routine reports as required
Assistance with periodic stock-takes
Any other task reasonably requested
Qualifications
Proven performer with 2 + years of experience in accounts
Experience in Xero, preferred experience in Shopify and Apparel Magic
Bachelor degree in accounting, CA or working toward CA in the future
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience juggling many different tasks, whilst at the same time ensuring impeccable attention to detail and quality outcomes
Must demonstrate ability to work as part of a team, but also be a self-starter and an ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy changeable environments where you can implement creative and innovative ideas
