THE ROLE
Drake Masterton are looking for an Accountant to join one of the largest Accountancy firms in the Wairarapa. Offering more than just accounting services, they truly understand business and partner with their clients to provide an all-round business counsel service.
Servicing clients across the Lower North Island, this position will expose you to a range of different businesses and give you a chance to expand your network while you enjoy the perks of working for a team who truly know local at heart.
You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, processing GST, FBT and PAYE, preparation of tax returns, payroll and invoicing on behalf of clients and all other functions within an accounting environment.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, you will need:
Full understanding and knowledge of the Accountancy process
Competency with the MS Office suite, MYOB and XERO
A high level of privacy and professionalism
The ability to build and sustain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
A balance of autonomy and teamwork
