About the role
The 4G programme is an exciting initiative that is being undertaken to replace 1.1m modems via a nationwide programme. This newly created senior role offers an opportunity to provide an overall governance model for the programme including ensuring the strategic business goals, operational efficiencies and financial targets for the overall programme are achieved. It will involve working together with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the programme remains on track and provide alternative solutions, guidance and recovery plans in conjunction the business stakeholders to ensure success.
The Programme Manager will ensure business outcomes are prioritised and delivered through the Programme, and full and transparent reporting is available to all senior stakeholders. Other key responsibilities include;
• Managing risk profile for the programme, including identifying, mitigating and monitoring progress, whilst working with business units to ensure resolutions are implemented
• Manage, monitor and influence the financial outcomes of the programme against the set cost model for the programme
• Providing clear advice and solutions on resource availability, cost implications and operational strategies
• Enhance visibility of future work requirements to ensure workflow continuity by resource balancing within Vector and third-party suppliers.
• Producing management reports to key stakeholders including Vector Executives and Vector Board that provides clarity on programme performance.
• Facilitating the Steering committees and provision of reports and documents as required to provide the necessary overview to key stakeholders.
* This is a 2 year fixed term contract
Who we are looking for
As this is a new role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate success in a similar role within a large field activity-based organisation . The following skills and experience are required
• Previous experience managing large programme of work that involve a strong operational focus and proven successful execution to timelines and within financial targets
• Experience in working with external multiple Service Providers to deliver to contractual obligations
• Has had exposure to and experience with formal Risk Management techniques and approaches
• Proven experience in establishing and operating Programme Management capability within large and complex organisations
• Broad experience implementing change in organisations
• Commercial acumen
• A true customer centric approach
