3 Waters Network Engineer

Te wero - The Challenge Far North Waters are looking for a 3 Waters Network Engineer to confirm and calculate existing network capacities to confirm serviceable areas within the district, contributing to and progressing design requirements for any renewal and upgrade works required. This position reports to the Planning & Design Team Leader, is based four days per week in our Kaikohe offices. We're looking for someone who brings: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification. Experience working in water services (drinking water, wastewater, stormwater) including design, operation and commissioning. Experience in both treatment and reticulation. You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations. Professional membership of Engineering New Zealand or appropriate organisation is preferred. Knowledge of Public Works and Resource Management Acts are an advantage. Knowledge of New Zealand Local Government legislation, practices and standards is desired.
